The number of seats was increased to 76 due to the lengthening of the fuselage by 2.1 m. In 1980, production of the Tu-134B modification began. On this modification, instead of the navigator's bow cabin, a Groza-134 radar (radar system) was installed, which made it possible to combine the functions of a navigator and co-pilot and reduce the crew to 3 people.
