The ToupCam UCMOS05100KPA with Aptina® MT9P006 sensor is a 1/2.5 inch CMOS sensor with 2592 active pixels horizontally and 1944 vertically. The camera, due to its single-chip structure, allows the use of windowed mode; the possibility of skipping columns and rows and the possibility of obtaining an instant preview image (so-called “snapshot”).
The camera uses the Ultra-Fine Color Engine image processing technology, which, in addition to using the demosaicing process and white balance adjustment, includes hot pixel correction, color space conversion, cross-channel correction, color parameter correction, gamma correction and so on.
The camera is connected to a computer using a standard USB port.
The camera comes with ToupView software, which has a huge number of settings and features. They can be listed:
View histogram in real time
Carrying out linear and angular measurements
Gray color setting
Image Rotation
Capable of shooting in HDR mode
Ability to shoot in EDF mode, etc.
The software is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP/ Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8 (32 and 64 bits)/ Windows 10; OS X Linux.
In addition to the factory calibration procedure already carried out, a separate calibration slide can be used.
