The ensemble of the Russian cellist, Honored Artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Zagorinsky and the Norwegian pianist, twice winner of the Grieg Prize, Professor of the National Grieg Academy in Oslo Einar Steen-Nockleberg is well known to a wide range of music lovers. Each of the musicians has been performing solo concert activities for many years, their discs were released on the world's largest labels, and this is not the first time they have been recording at the Melodiya company. This time each of the musicians performs in a solo concert role. Alexander Zagorinsky performs two cello concertos by Antonio Vivaldi - the largest representative of the violin school of the Italian Baroque, the "red-haired priest" left about three dozen cello concertos that are not inferior in skill to his violin masterpieces. Einar Steen-Nockleberg, known primarily for playing the romantic repertoire, often also refers to the work of Bach, demonstrating a subtle sense of style and plunging deeply into the world of baroque music. He performs three clavier concertos with the orchestra of the great Leipzig cantor. The disc is built as a dialogue between German and Italian baroque - the concertos of Bach and Vivaldi are played alternately. A wonderful team is participating in the recording - the chamber orchestra of the Vologda Philharmonic Society under the direction of a talented musician, a true enthusiast of his work Alexander Loskutov; A.
