The Philips Avent Anti-colic SCD809/01 bottle set with AirFree™ valve reduces the risk of colic, gas and spit up¹ and helps your baby avoid swallowing air from the bottle. The nipple is always full of milk, even if the bottle is horizontal when feeding upright. The baby does not swallow air, so less milk is spit up. The special valve design avoids common feeding problems such as colic, gas and regurgitation.
Clinical studies have shown that the Philips Avent bottle prevents colic and discomfort². How? Due to the special design, no vacuum is formed inside the nipple during feeding, and milk is supplied evenly. This helps to avoid colic, gas and regurgitation. The AirFree™ valve is easy to connect to any Philips Avent Anti-colic or Classic+ bottle and is extremely easy to clean thanks to the bottle's wide neck and few parts.
Fill the bottle with milk first. Then place the AirFree™ valve on the neck and connect the teat. Tilt the bottle to fill the nipple with milk and you're ready to feed. Make sure that the AirFree™ valve does not move and that the nipple is always full of milk in any position of the bottle.
The Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle can be used with or without the AirFree™ valve. The AirFree™ valve is compatible with Philips Avent Anti-colic and Classic+ bottles in the following sizes: 125 ml, 260 ml and 330 ml.
The shape of the nipple provides a secure grip, and the ribbed surface prevents the nipple from sticking and uneven milk flow.
Feeding needs change as the baby develops, so it is important to choose a nipple with the right flow rate. Philips Avent Anti-colic and Classic+ bottles can be used with or without the AirFree™ valve, however these valves are only compatible with Philips Avent Anti-colic and Classic+ teats. Use Anti-Colic bottles only with Anti-Colic teats.
