KANN MAX, the fourth product in the KANN series, takes advantage of the KANN series with even higher performance and mobility. KANN MAX features an ESS ES9038Q2M quad-core DAC coupled with Astell&Kern's unique audio technology to deliver the best performance you can get from a portable player. Ultra-high performance in a smaller device, KANN MAX takes the popular series to the next level, delivering perfect sound with high power and clear sound. It provides 4 stages of amplification and ultra-high output power up to 15 Vrms, which was previously only possible with a stationary headphone amplifier. KANN MAX can perfectly drive even the most complex high-impedance headphones. The KANN MAX is smaller and lighter than the KANN APLHA, which boasted the best portability of the existing KANN series. Despite being smaller, all power-related components have been improved and the power circuitry has been redesigned several times to provide 13 hours of uninterrupted playback. Updated circuitry for both ultra-high performance and low noise As the output power increases, so does the noise level. KANN MAX is equipped with ultra-high output power and does not allow any noise. The unit captures Astell&Kern's philosophy of delivering the original sound the way it should be without compromise. KANN MAX uses an analog volume control to provide rich, lossless dynamic range. By separately configuring the power IC for each audio unit, divided into digital, amplification and volume control, KANN MAX provides the stable power supply needed for each audio unit. This design eliminates the ripple noise of the DC power supply. The analog noise that can be heard as the volume of the op-amps is turned up is kept to a minimum.
